A Different Kind of Post: Sharing a Personal Story
To preface this, I do have a diploma in theology. I got born again just as I was finishing high school, a couple of months before the end of the year. And in December that year, I went to my first Christian camp, where I (and others) got invited to the camp organizers’ Bible School. And because I was fresh out of high school and didn’t know what to do with my life yet, I went and studied theology for two years. Yay, me.
This is not to say that I know it all (I certainly don’t), it’s just to let you know that I do have some knowledge on this. I never intended or imagined I would use that knowledge for anyone but myself, but here we are. This is not necessarily a pivot with this blog, because I’ll continue with my usual content. However, this came out of nowhere for me, and I want to put this knowledge out there for when something does happen.
So what do I mean by “Is Jesus coming back soon?”? What is this about? Well, it all started on July 4th, 2025, when I had the most peculiar dream. Now, I don’t know how much, as a reader, you know about the Bible, but I’ll summarize it so you get the whole idea. But please, do a study for yourself as well.
Beginning Of Creation
According to the Bible, we believe that all creation, the earth and everything in it, was created by God. This is in the book of Genesis, which says that, in the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. (Read Genesis. It’s the first book in the bible.)
This is when God created all the things on the earth, including Adam and Eve (the first humans), and also when they disobeyed God and sin entered the world.
How Sin Entered The World
When God created Adam and Eve, He placed them in a perfect garden called Eden, where they had complete freedom in everything except one thing: Do not eat the fruit from the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil.
It really wasn’t about the fruit; it was about trust and obedience in God’s instructions. But they messed up. They listened to satan’s lies, chose to disobey God, and broke that one rule.
And because God is completely holy and perfect, and cannot coexist with sin, that single act of disobedience broke their relationship with Him and separated them from God.
It didn’t stop there. Because we are all descendants of Adam and Eve, that broken, sinful nature was passed down to all of us like a spiritual DNA defect. We’re born into that same separation, which is why humanity feels so lost and alienated from God. (Psalms 51:5, Romans 5:12)
Why Jesus Came & What Believing in Him Means
Because God is completely holy and just, His very nature means He has to judge sin. A good judge on earth can’t just let a criminal walk away because they feel like it; true justice demands a penalty. And the penalty for sin is spiritual death and separation from God forever.
But because God loves us completely, He didn’t want that for us. This is where Jesus comes in. Jesus came to save humanity by taking our punishment for sin and death upon himself. By dying on the cross, He satisfied God’s justice, and made it possible for those who believe and accept Him to be restored to their rightful position with God and escape God’s coming judgment. (Luke 19:10, John 3:16-17, John 10:10, John 18:37, 1 John 4:9) Read about God’s redemption plan for mankind.
This is what it means to be a true believer. It’s about having a personal relationship with Jesus and accepting Him as your substitute and representative before God. Think of Jesus as THE best lawyer you could ever get representing you before God (the Judge). The Bible says that Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. No one goes to the Father, except through Him. (John 14:6)
If you want a true picture of who Jesus is, read the New Testament in the bible (especially the book of John), and you’ll see how loving, pure, and true He really is. Spoiler alert: It’s totally not what the media, especially Hollywood, portrays Him to be.
They’ve worked so hard to tarnish His image. You have to ask yourself: why have they gone to such great lengths to make a mockery of Jesus and God in everything? Could it be because the entertainment industry is heavily influenced by the demonic, and satan will do anything to keep people from the truth? But, I digress.
Why Am I Telling You This?
As I said before, I had a dream, and it was about the rapture (Matthew 24:40-42, 1 Corinthians 15:51-53, 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18). I feel like everyone has heard about the rapture by now, but just in case you haven’t, this is what it’s about.
According to Revelation, the last book in the Bible, in the last days, God will pour out His wrath on the people for their wickedness and unrepentance, just like in the days of Noah (Genesis 6:9-9:17).
This period of God’s judgment is called the tribulation, which lasts for 7 years. But before God pours out His wrath, He first takes His people (believers in Jesus) up to heaven to escape God’s judgment, just as Noah entered the ark and was spared from God’s wrath.
This event, where millions of believers suddenly disappear (in the blink of an eye), is what is called the rapture. This TikTok channel covers a lot about this.
The Dream I Had About The Rapture
The Bible says in Acts 2:17 that in the last days, God will pour out His Spirit upon all people. Sons and daughters will prophesy, young men will see visions, and old men will dream dreams.
So, on July 4th, I had a dream about the rapture. In the dream, I was standing on a street, and there were people around going about their business, but then some started getting snatched up into the sky. One second someone would be there, the next they’re gone.
In my confusion, I looked up and asked, “What’s going on!?” (just talking to myself, not particularly asking anyone). Immediately, I heard the words Jesus and rapture in my mind.
Then, as I was looking up, my head was kinda pushed to look down at the palm of my hand, and there was a small calendar page showing the month of September on my hand. When I saw the calendar, I quickly counted in my head: July, August, September… then shouted, “Two months from now!?” Then I startled awake.
Now, I usually don’t dream much, and the rapture was the last thing on my mind at the time, so this was the most random dream to have. I drifted back to sleep after a while, but when I woke up later, I said a quick prayer to Jesus that I didn’t know what it meant, and whatever it was, to please confirm it for me. Then I let it go and completely forgot about it.
Later that day, as I was scrolling on TikTok, I started getting video after video of people talking about the rapture on my FYP. Mind you, I had no idea whatsoever that this was an active topic online and that other people, including children, were having dreams about Jesus coming back.
I was completely in the dark, and my FYP was all about beauty and lifestyle (just girly things to get inspo for this blog, you know). Completely unrelated stuff, so the rapture content really came out of nowhere. Then I remembered that I had prayed and asked God for confirmation of my dream. And I knew He was calling my attention to this.
Because if I’d had a dream after watching a couple of videos about this, I would have just concluded it’s because it’s in my mind, that’s why I’m dreaming about it. But no, this was the farthest thing from my mind and my algorithm. Honestly, I’m still baffled that I found out about all this in a dream first before social media. I’m ALWAYS on TikTok!
So now this is my question: Is Jesus coming back soon, and is He warning His people according to Acts 2:17? Because how do I explain randomly having a rapture dream, then later finding out that people are talking about the exact thing on the internet? This was just bonkers to me!
Now, I want to be entirely clear: I am not giving any sureties with this, nor am I setting dates. Dreams are very symbolic and cryptic, and the Bible doesn’t give specific dates either. But it does instruct us to watch for the signs and seasons, and judging from all that is going on in the world right now, I’d say we’re really in the end times. The calendar in my dream was a literal wake-up call for me.
So whether it’s tomorrow, next year, or much later down the road, I don’t know. What I do know is the times we’re in today are crazy; everything is happening everywhere all at once. It makes you wonder if the things the Bible warns us about might be a lot closer than we think.
So, What Does All This Mean?
Well, it’s a bit of good news and bad news.
The Good News (If you‘re reading this BEFORE the rapture)
If the rapture of the church is really about to occur soon, and you’re reading this before all the believers “disappear,” then you still have a chance to be saved and escape God’s judgment that is coming upon the earth.
The Bible says in Romans 10:9-10: “If you confess with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with your heart you believe and are justified, and with your mouth you confess and are saved.”
The Bad News (If you’re reading this AFTER the rapture)
If, unfortunately, you’re reading this later, and the rapture has already happened, then I’m very sorry you’re about to get into a time like never before seen or felt on earth.
All hope is not lost, though; you still have a chance to believe in Jesus and be saved, but it may come with a severe cost (martyrdom). Read the book of Revelation to know what to expect and what to avoid. You totally want to AVOID THE MARK OF THE BEAST!!
Final Thoughts:
If you’ve made it this far without getting cringed out, there’s hope for you. I want you to know that Jesus loves you so much, and He went through hell (literally) to make sure you don’t go to hell yourself. He LITERALLY died for you, and all you have to do is receive His free gift of salvation by having faith in Him. (Ephesians 2:8-9, John 3:16, Galatians 2:16)
It’s that simple. He has settled all debts and done all the work. And all you have to do is say, Yes, I accept!
And yes, I know all this can sound like fairy tales and bedtime stories to some. But do you actually believe that all this perfect order in the universe just exploded out of chaos? Or that we’re all just a random accident, as opposed to being made by a divine Creator who intentionally and deliberately put everything into place?
I don’t know about you, but I’d rather err on the side of caution; believe in a loving God and later find out there’s really nothing, than not believe and later find out that eternity and judgment are very real. Not fear tactics. Just the facts!
Salvation Prayer:
If you want to give your life to Jesus, you can say this prayer:
“Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner. I believe that You died for my sins and rose from the dead. I ask You to forgive me, come into my heart, and be my Lord and Savior. I turn away from my sin and surrender my life to You. Help me live for You from this day forward. Thank you for saving me. In Jesus’ name. Amen.”
See how easy that was? Now, get a Bible and begin in the book of John, and set aside some time for prayer. Praying is just talking to God as you would to your best friend. So you can do it any time!
I pray that everyone finds this when they need it most and before it’s too late. God bless you!

Questions and Answers:
1. What is the rapture?
The rapture is when Jesus takes believers up to heaven before God’s wrath comes upon the earth, just like Noah entered the ark and was spared from the flood. (Matthew 24:40–42, 1 Thessalonians 4:16–17, 1 Corinthians 15:51–52)
2. When is the rapture?
We don’t know the exact date, but it will happen before the period of tribulation when God’s judgment is poured out on the world. (1 Thessalonians 5:2, Matthew 24:44)
3. Where will the rapture be?
According to 1 Thessalonians 4:17, the rapture will take place in the air. Believers will be “caught up together… in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air.” People will be taken from all over the earth instantly, not limited to one specific location.
4. What happens during the rapture?
During the rapture, believers in Jesus are snatched up in an instant (described in 1 Corinthians 15:52 as “the twinkling of an eye”). Believers who are alive, along with those who have died in Christ, will receive immortal bodies and be physically taken up to heaven to escape the coming wrath on earth.
5. What happens after the rapture?
Immediately after the rapture, the world will experience massive confusion as millions of people suddenly disappear. This ushers in the 7-year tribulation on earth, where a global leader (the Antichrist) will rise to power, promising peace but ultimately bringing deception.
6. What is the tribulation in the Bible?
The tribulation is the 7-year period of God’s wrath described in the book of Revelation and the book of Daniel. It is a time when there will be catastrophic natural disasters, war, famine, plagues, and the rule of the Antichrist. It’s divided into two halves, with the final 3.5 years being called the “Great Tribulation” due to the intensity of God’s wrath (Matthew 24:21-22).
7. Can People Get Saved After The Rapture?
Yes, you can still be saved, but you’ll have to do two things: immediately confess Jesus as your Lord and Savior and refuse the mark of the beast at all costs. The Bible shows that a great multitude of people will turn to Jesus during the tribulation (Revelation 7:9–14); however, it will be at the cost of their own lives.
The Antichrist will be in power, and anyone who chooses to follow Jesus will face intense persecution. You will be completely cut off from buying food or working if you don’t take his mark, but taking that mark seals your doom forever. To be saved then, you must place your faith in Jesus, refuse the beast system, and endure to the end. (Revelation 13:16–17, Revelation 14:9–11)
8. What happens after the tribulation?
After the 7-year tribulation is the Second Coming of Christ. Unlike the rapture (where Jesus will just appear in the clouds and believers will go up to meet Him), the Second Coming is a visible physical return of Jesus to the earth to defeat evil at the Battle of Armageddon, bind satan, and establish His 1,000-year Millennial Kingdom of peace and justice.
9. When is the end of the world?
The end of the world as we know it happens after the rapture, during and after the 7-year tribulation, when Jesus returns for His Second Coming to judge the world and establish His kingdom. (Daniel 9:27, Matthew 24:29–30, Revelation 19:11–16, Revelation 20:1–6, 2 Peter 3:10)
10. Is the rapture real?
Yes, I believe the rapture is real. I know there are many different views about it, but personally, I believe in it according to Scripture and what the Holy Spirit of God testifies in my spirit. (Revelation 3:10, 1 Corinthians 15:51-52, 1 Thessalonians 4:16–17, John 14:3, Philippians 3:20–21, Titus 2:13)
