How many times have you heard the words “Jesus Loves You”? Or how many times have you spoken them, telling someone that Jesus loves them? We say and hear these words so much that sometimes they become common- just words you hear every day.
But when you sit down and really think about what it means to be loved by Jesus, you can’t help but be amazed. Today I was listening to some worship music as I worked, and I started thinking about how much Jesus loves me. I had just started playing the song, and it really hit me what it means to be loved by Jesus.
Do you have a friend who has stuck by you through thick and thin? Think of the sacrifices they have made just to be there for you. Sometimes we may not be the easiest person to deal with, but that friend has stuck by you regardless. Now take that and multiply it by the biggest number that you can, and you begin to have just a slight idea of what it means to be loved by Jesus.

Jesus is more than that friend. When you’re at your lowest and feel like there is no one else you can turn to, Jesus will not only turn to you; He will seek you out. When you feel like you’re completely messed up and everyone else is turning their nose the other way because of the “stench” that is coming off of you. Jesus will not only sit with you in that place, but He will also hold you and clean you up.
And guess what? He will not complain or berate you for getting yourself in that situation. He will do it gladly, because that’s what it means to be loved by Jesus. His love never runs out… It can never be exhausted… and He will NEVER get tired of loving you and being there for you.
So if you feel like you’ve messed up, or you’re messed up, or you’ve hit rock bottom, even if you keep going back to the same vices over and over again, let Jesus be your constant. However you spin yourself around, always come back to your constant. Because He will never move or be moved by anything you could ever be or do. (Romans 8:38-39 – nothing in all creation can separate believers from the love of God in Christ Jesus).

I really can’t help but be so grateful that Jesus loves me, man. That He looked at me and said, “Yup! She’s worth dying for. I will go through the trenches of hell just for her.” What do you mean? And He would still have done it even if I was the only one. Not cause I’m that special, but because His love is that extravagant.
Jesus loves you, and He already died for you! Even if you don’t know Him or have not accepted Him into your heart yet. He already decided to do this for you even before you were born. He knew you then and said that He will do it whether you accept or not (Romans 5:8 “But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us”).
And He made it so easy that all you have to do is just consent. Just say yes, I accept your love and your sacrifice for me… and that’s it. That’s just bonkers to me! Anyways, I just wanted to remind y’all that JESUS LOVES YOU SO MUCH! “Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.” John 15:13

And can I tell y’all how POWERFUL the name of Jesus is? My God! I always call on the name of Jesus even in the most ridiculous of situations, and He always comes through. When I say ridiculous, I mean like I could be looking for a tiny lost earring and be saying, “Jesus, where is it?” and it’s immediately right there. Or I could be asking for help seasoning the chicken right because I don’t know how to eyeball anything. IT WORKS EVERY TIME!
And no, this is not about using Jesus as a genie, but about knowing that He cares so much that even if I go to him with the most minuscule of requests, He will help me.
Quick Testimony: “One time in bible school, one of my friends was really sick. He had been sick for like a week and had not been able to eat anything. I had kitchen duty that week and he asked me to make him some juice. I got fresh passion fruits and made the juice, and before I took the pitcher to him I just said, Jesus let this juice bring life and health back into his body, and gave it to him.
Later he found me and asked what I put in the juice cause he was feeling fantastic. I said I really put nothing in it except the fruits and sugar to taste. Then I remembered the quick prayer I’d said so flippantly and told him I prayed over it. I’ve never forgotten that to date.
There’s so much I could write, but yeah, I’ll stop here before I start gushing. Jesus rocks! And He LOVES YOU and WANTS YOU. And all you have to do is say, “JESUS, I ACCEPT YOU.” And He will take it from there.
